I have skin cancer on my face (pictures).

Yes, you read that correctly.

I have skin cancer on my face.

The following video shares more about my non melanoma, basal cell carcinoma skin cancer diagnosis. In it, I share what my basal cell carcinoma (type of skin cancer) on my face looked like and how I could tell it needed to be checked out by a dermatologist. I also share what my plan is to naturally treat my skin cancer, as I have decided against MOHS surgery for now.

**None of the information in the video or this article is intended to be taken as medical advice or counsel. Please do your own research, receive diagnosis and make treatment plans with a trusted healthcare provider. I am sharing my personal story, experience, and plans, which is not to be solely relied upon for your own situation.**

In the following video, I also share other personal news relating to Torah living, homeschooling, homemaking, and homesteading.

My Skin Cancer on the Face Pictures

I am sharing with you what my skin cancer looked like before and after my biopsy and diagnosis.

My basal cell carcinoma skin cancer bump is in the middle of my forehead.

The bump began as what I thought was a pimple. Though it is in this picture, it is hardly noticeable. This is two years before diagnosis, when I am 29 years old.

This is the first time my cancerous bump can be clearly seen in a picture. This picture is about 1 year out from diagnosis.

I began taking pictures of the spot on my forehead to document location, size, and changes. Most of the time, the spot simply looked like a pimple with a little indent in the center.
Sometimes, it would look like a blood spot. These pictures are about 6 months out from diagnosis.

The week of the biopsy, the spot looked like a blood spot.

The shave biopsy created a little crater in my forehead, much larger and much more noticeable than the spot had ever been.
These pictures are from the day of and within a week of the biopsy.

Skin Cancer Treatment Plan

My initial plan to treat my skin cancer was to do the MOHS surgery. I have since decided to first apply Curaderm BEC5 cream, which is a topical cream using eggplant extract, salicylic acid, and urea. It has not been approved by the FDA in the United States.

This small bottle of Curaderm BEC5 cream, which is the length of my index finger, is $200. While that is cheaper than MOHS surgery for me with my insurance, I was initially shocked by the price. No one I had listened to discuss Curaderm had mentioned the price, so it’s worth noting.

I chose to try Curaderm BEC5 because of information I read or watched at the following links:
